Create your own Solstice Celebration
”As the Sun spirals its longest Dance
As nature shows bounty and fertility
Let all things live with loving intent
And to fulfill their truest destiny”
When you hear mention of the summer solstice, do you have visions of women—barefoot and bedecked in flower crowns dancing around a bon fire? We sure do! Humans have been gathering to celebrate the Summer Solstice since time immemorial. The Solstice signifies the time when Mother Earth is at the fullness of her strength, fertility, and abundance, so we too can celebrate the strength in joining together, pollinate our spiritual consciousness by gathering with our tribe and sharing in the magic of this sacred day.
One of our favorite things is to create beautiful, fun and meaningful ceremonies for our tribe and this year we are hosting a fabulous Solstice event in Santa Monica, CA. We would be thrilled if you could join us, however we know many in our tribe live far away so we've put together some ideas for how you can celebrate the Solstice with your tribe wherever you are.
Gather your tribe.
If you live somewhere that it's possible to build an actual fire, do that!
Create sacred space by creating a beautiful altar to Mother Earth and the abundance she provides us. Use flowers, lots of candles, crystals (citrine embodies Solstice energy), and any objects that are meaningful to you. We like to ask our peeps to bring something to add to the altar.
Fully arrive in your space by taking a few breaths together and a moment or two of silence.
Plan a few high vibe activities, get out your oracle cards, journals, crystals. The energy of the Solstice is fertility, abundance and ripeness.
A favorite practice of ours - using tissue paper write down what you'd like to create and birth into the world and burn it in the fire sending your intentions to the Universe. (Obviously do this safely)
Serve high vibe food and drink. We like to serve plant based food and keep our gatherings alcohol free (it's definitely low vibe).
Let loose, dance, sing, drum!
Sending you Solstice blessings
