Join us to explore the landscape of beauty + learn about the importance of clean beauty
Sunday, October 6th
We live in a culture that confuses beauty with glamour. Glamour can be fun and it’s fleeting, beauty is more substantial. It is this more substantial beauty that we will explore with our daughters. Sacred Woman Retreats is excited to collaborate with Wen-Chia Parker and Lilan Northan, Beautycounter consultants, to explore both inner and outer beauty, the beauty industry and the importance clean beauty products and why that matters.
The late Irish philosopher poet John O’Donohue speaks about beauty with eloquence and depth in his interview, The Inner Landscape of Beauty, on Krista Tippet’s Onbeing.“Beauty isn’t all about nice loveliness. Beauty is about a more rounded, substantial becoming. Beauty, in that sense, is about an emerging fullness, a greater sense of grace and elegance, a deeper sense of depth, and also a kind of homecoming for the enriched memory of your unfolding life.” He goes on to say, "...beauty is not a luxury, but I think that it ennobles the heart and reminds us of the infinity that is within us.”
