Calendula Honey Face Mask

Both calendula and honey have amazing benefits for our skin.

Calendula flowers have traditionally been used for their skin soothing, antiseptic, healing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Honey has a number of healing benefits. Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it’s great for acne treatment and prevention. It's full of antioxidants, it is great for slowing down aging. Complexion boost: It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow. Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog.

This two ingredient face mask is super easy to make.

How to:

Grind a couple of handful of *dried calendula flowers in your blender. We use a Vitamix but any good blender will do the trick. You can store what you don't use.

Mix 2 Tbs **raw manuka honey with the ground calendula flowers until you've got a thickish, creamy consistency. Run a hot bath, apply to your face, neck and chest and relax. Rinse off after 10 to 20 minutes.

*If you have calendula growing in your yard, harvest and dry the flowers. If not you can buy dried flowers here.

This is our favorite raw manuka honey. This is a great article about the amazing benefits of manuka honey.

**If you can't get manuka honey you can use any raw honey.

Alert: always do a small test patch on your arm before applying anything to your entire face. You want to be sure you don't have an allergic reaction or any irritation.
